Securus Consulting Group is proud to be taking part in the 2026 Hartley Cycle Challenge for the sixth year, and this year is also sponsoring the Celebration Dinner at the Rex Hotel closing the event. The ride runs on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November 2026, starting and finishing in Canberra.
The challenge raises money for Hartley Lifecare, a Canberran not-for-profit that has provided supported living accommodation for people with disability since 1962.
Hartley supports more than 100 clients across more than 35 in-home care facilities in the ACT. It runs supported independent living, short-term respite at Renaissance House, hydrotherapy, and the Benambra Intentional Community. This year’s fundraising target is $250,000, and that money funds the organisation, services and facilities. Hartley also recently announced a restructure enabling future opportunities to extend services into New South Wales.
The ride has been held since 2000 and has raised more than $4 million in just the past decade. The 2026 event returns to a Canberra start and finish, after recent years running out of Jindabyne, where the course covered more than 250 kilometres over two days and climbed to Charlotte Pass at over 1,700 metres.
What Securus is doing
Securus is sponsoring the Celebration Dinner, held on the Saturday night at the close of the ride. The dinner brings riders, sponsors, local MPs, Hartley clients, staff and supporters together at the end of the two days. Special reserved seating is also available for Securus professional networks, clients, and family.
A Securus team of 10+ is riding both days, captained by Patrick Campbell-Dunn, CEO and Founder. Each team in the challenge commits to a minimum fundraising amount, set at $12,500 for 2026. Securus raises that figure through individual campaigns run by each rider boosting the fundraising potential.
Why this event
Securus is headquartered in Canberra, and most of its work is with Commonwealth agencies and enterprises in the region. Hartley Lifecare has operated here for 64 years, and the homes it runs are in the same ACT suburbs where Securus staff and clients live.
